Education Scholarships, Professional Educator Grants, and Nontraditional Education Grants

In addition to supporting our Charitable Partners, RWC’s yearly fundraising efforts also provide scholarships for a number of high school seniors, education grants for nontraditional students, and funding for grants for professional educators.  Helping with college expenses, providing new equipment or learning tools for a teacher, or helping an adult return to school, RWC has been dedicated to education as a key to our mission and a promise to our community.

Education Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors planning to attend college/university.  The scholarships are based on outstanding academic achievement, leadership qualities, and community involvement.  A graduating senior must either reside or go to school in Fulton County north of the Chattahoochee River.

In addition, each year the Roswell Woman's Club recognizes three outstanding graduating seniors with the following Special Awards:

  • The Helen Owens Leadership Award - Kindness, Strength and Hard Work.  Helen was a 55+ year member of Roswell Woman's Club.  She served our club and community with grace and hard work.
  • The Tillie Wood Humanitarian/Community Service Award - Pioneer and Role Model.  Tillie was a founding member of the Roswell Historical Society, as well as the Roswell Woman's Club.  She was a dedicated teacher, starting the first kindergarten in Roswell.
  • Jennifer Perrotta Technical Excellence Award - Technology.  A Life member of our club, she reflects the epitome of loyalty, drive, and hard work.  Designing our website, she has been responsible for technology advancement within the club over the last several years.

Professional Educator Grants are awarded based upon a number of criteria including need, purpose and overall impact of the funding.  Professional Educator Grants are awarded to teachers in Fulton County schools north of the Chattahoochee River, at all levels of education, from elementary through high school.

Nontraditional Education Grants are awarded to adults seeking higher education by attending college or technical school either full or part time. We also fund certification courses to gain expertise in a specific subject matter.
